Comfort Drive Wake Up - Should I?

First, I have read the file on the subject and that is pretty clear. Nice job!

I test drove a 2015 DSDP 4369 a few weeks ago and it went well. We will be picking it up in a few days.

One thing I did at the end of the test drive was bring the coach to a full stop and released the steering wheel. As I expected it "centered". COOL!

However, when I turned the ignition off the steering wheel turn a few degrees to the left. HMMMM? Didn't see that one coming.

When I exited the coach I looked at the front tire position and I could see that they were slightly to the left. Not enough to interfere with the fender wells if I was to dump the air bags but enough to give me some concern if the wheels had turned any further to the left.

I have no knowledge as to whether or not the batteries had been disconnect at some point. BTW...I assume we are talking about the chassis batteries.

Would the Wake Up procedure be something that would be appropriate or is there some other issue that could be a factor?

This situation is actually covered in the second, mid-length section. Has to do with tire contact torque or something like that.

Mine does this too. It's apparently not a big deal. And every time I start the motorhome it goes back to normal.

I'm not sure I see something that covers the movement after engine shut down. Do you see something I'm missing?

OK...

I didn't try a restart to see if it turn slightly back to the right. I'll look at that in a couple days.

Mine does this also, and as soon as it is re-started the wheels center again. As far as I know, perfectly normal.

Mr. Sherwin has thoughtfully provided an extensive write-up on Comfort Drive which is a stickie at the top of this forum.

What you experienced is covered in the last paragraph on page 6 and the first on page 7. It's explained fully and is no cause for alarm.

Hope this helps!-Paul

I'm reading and re-reading but don't find anything that resembles the situation where the wheel turns a bit after shut down. Maybe I'm missing something?

OK...

I was working off the "Wake up" document but ya'll were referring me to the CD Tour document. That is why I wasn't seeing what you were.

Thanks Ken!
