If your safari is up to date then it changed the way it handles java and flash player. go to safari > preferences > websites > at the bottom left is the options for most of the the plug ins. make sure they are all enabled for the site you are visiting. Usually its a plug in.
If you haven't updated your computer. You need to if solely for security reasons. The current os is 12.13.4. I cant remember what the current Safari is but it will be higher than 11.0.3.
If your OS is up to date etc. you might want to check compatibility with the current OS. Some developers put keeping up with windows on the front burner and get that done first.
Run
www.Malwarebytes.com. That is one of the few apps apple might suggest for adware removal.
Last thing to consider. While it isn't the first thing I would recommend you might try a different browser. I personally am not a fan of Chrome, the security of chrome is completely independent of the OS while the settings in sys prefs for flash player are tied to non chromium browsers such as Firefox. Flash player is a security risk and having control over it is important. Also be aware of fake flash player updates. I also feel chrome is way more nosy than is necessary.
If you still have issues contact the support for the app you are using.
