Hello, our 2008 KSDP has an air compressor female quick connection beside the generator. I went in to pick up an air hose and a male connector and was faced with 2 hose sizes and several options for the male connectors. The male connectors are labeled A, M, U etc. Does anybody know the ideal hose diameter and correct male adapter?

Thanks

Jim

On our air connection in the engine comparment, there was a male connector zip tied to the line. See if you have one and you cna match it up.

I may be wrong,but ....
A = automotive style
M = don't know what it stands for?
U = universal style, fits both

there are a few more letters too.. Visit a harbor Freight or other store which has a bunch of them and try out a few.. See if they will let you take 'em out and try 'em out.

I have an 02 mountain aire pusher with the compressor fiting under the front cover above the generator.

the only fitting I could find was the same that is used in gas stations and other commercial mounted on the heavy hose.

The longer lengths of hose i bought at Wal=mart and it fits the female end of the heavy hose.

Hope this info helps

The OEM female quick connect installed by Newmar is a odd part. Dave the parts manager at Midtown RV has replaced it with a more common part at N/C. We now have a hose and attachments and are good to go.

Can anyone tell me where the compressor hook up might be on a 2000 Dutch Star?

If it's on a Freightliner Chassis, it will be somewhere up front, probably on the driver's side. Look for a manifold with several air lines/hoses going to/from it. If no quick connect is visible, drain the air system completely, remove one of the plugs and replace it with a female quick connect.
