I have tried the old RCA and now the newer Jensen remote control extender to change channels on my sat receiver when outside...neither of them will pick up the signal from the transmitter near the outside tv bay. I have tried different inside locations,,,just doesnt seem to get a signal to change anything....same with the dvd player, but will work from the bedroom, so the electronics DO work...what have you found that WORKS!!

You don't mention using the Satellite remote....in my friend's '06 4304 he uses the satellite remote to change the Directv box.

This is fresh on my mind as I had to show the Howard tech how to push "mode" to get the outside tv to show satellite and then I used the satellite remote to change the channel.

Bob -- how do you get the remote to work thru walls? We have direct TV and the only way we know of changing the channels is to go inside and point the remote changer @ the direct TV box.

I have been able to get my Direct TV remote to work when standing by the door. I keep the glass cabinet door open.

For some reason now my RCA IR extenders are working fine...I leave the transmitter in the open bay next to the tv and set the receiver on the ledge by the dining table pointed at the sat/tv receivers and it is perfect for now...I have suspected an electronic booboo with that RCA for years...found it in the garage and gave it another try....they are still made...cost about 40 bux...seem to work the best ..better than radio shack or Jensens..

Our outside TV can be switched thru the window behind the passenger chair. Also keep the glass cabinet door open. The window is a wide deep one on the ATME.

I use the Jensen RF chanel changer and it is now working just great. At first, we had the units switched. The "receiver" unit has to face the Satellite dish receiver. Once we figured this out, it has worked great. The "sender" unit can be located anywere and signals are sent via radio frequency through walls etc.

Dav5942, Is that a Harley softail deluxe blue and white in the 2006 model year?

Dav5942...We are in Rincon De Guayabitos, one day South of where you are going. Weather has been great and the shrimp are plentiful. Lobster season over here till the new year but the Dorado are starting to come in so we have a good selection of sea food.
You have a great looking coach set up there. It is something I would look into when I'm ready for an upgrade.
