Convection / Microwave Replacement
We have a 2005 Dutch Star 4023 and need to replace the GE convection / microwave oven. Has anyone done this? Trying to find a brand / design that can be mounted like the factory install. Seems like they all mount with bolts from the top which is impossible with our current cabinets. Help!!

I would go with the same GE "Profile" should have the same mounting.
Check it out in one of the large appliance store's.

Why do you need to replace it?
Is it a GE Advantium?

Can you post a picture of your mounting?
I replaced my Samsung with a Whirpool by removing the cabinet piece above the microwave which gave access to the mounting bolts.

The reason for replacing it is due to age and being obsolete. I purchased what I thought was a replacement but the mounting is different than the factory installed unit. My kitchen is the slide for the is no cabinet above. Only structure and a cabinet face.
I think the magnetron is giving me issues so I will replace it for the time being. I will post pics shortly when I remove the oven to repair it. This will help with more suggestions.

We have a 2003 Dutch Star and ours is in the slide too. Had to replace ours twice ( first defective). The wood trim above micro is just Velcro attached. But saying that, it is truly industrial strength stuff!! Had to use cloth protected pry bar. Then had to remove vent cover, control board and block up from bottom to get lag screws going thru side of outer case into cabinets. Project went okay, but was a royal PITA!!!

Convection Oven Repair or Replace
2005 Dutch Star 4023
GE Profile heats up to about 200 degrees on convection/bake. Suspect it is a fan that blow the heat around has failed.
What was the final choice for your replacement. I have been told the GE PVM9179DKBB would fit but not sure about the mounts.
Will be removing it within the next month. As a full timer, it is going to be hard to do with an oven for long - need my biscuits.

We replaced with the same one from Home Depot online for our 2004. Just get the Model # and do a search.

If you were near me I would give you ours. Ring accustomed to commercial kitchen equipment, that thing is just painful to use.

Our Fridgidaire convection oven doesn't work well. We went to Best Buy and bought a small, $160 Cuisinart convection oven, toaster, etc. Good fit on the counter. DW bakes all kinds of things and roasts meat, etc.

I have a 2004 Dutchstar and changed out the refrigerator with a residential Whirlpool. I also went to Home Depot and using the measurements of my old Microwave/Convection Oven, I found a Whirlpool Stainless Steel Microwave/Convection Oven.
