I've just finished the lion's share of my maintenance -- wheel bearings, oil change, lube, coolant filter, changed rear diff fluid, desiccant filter, etc. etc. I have two items remaining:

1. Hydraulic service. I have a new filter for the reservoir and plan on draining, replacing filter and refilling. Spartan sent me a ZAE-10 spin-on filter as well. I cannot find the location of this filter anywhere -- for those with an 07+ MADP or Essex... have you found this filter?

2. The manual states to change the fluid in the cooling fan gearbox (it was actually supposed to be done at 1,000 miles, I would suspect it wasn't.) Draining the fluid appears to be an easy task with the drain on the bottom. How on earth is one supposed to refill?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes it is hard to get to and in a tight spot. You will have to use a hand pump that fits on a oil container and a hose to refill.

Thanks guys. I finally found the fill plug by reaching up in there - I don't think they could have made that more inconvenient if they tried!

Relatively confident that there isn't a hydraulic spin-on filter, so I'm going to proceed with draining, replacing the in reservoir filter and refilling.
