The unofficial official Newmar factory breakfast spot, the Corner Cafe is closing at the end of this month.
They have no plans to relocate.
First Mary's is gone, and now the Corner Cafe.

Hi Dirk,
Try the Dutch Kitchen. Go west on Cheyenne Street to the end of Newmar property. Turn right (north) and go about 100 yards. The Dutch Kitchen is on your left. I frequent this place often. Amish staff will cook breakfast and lunch that you will come back for time and time again.

I've been to the Dutch Kitchen and the Country Table, which are about the only two left for breakfast.
There is a greasy spoon down towards Martin's on the right.
Anybody try it?

Just lovely! Sheila & I were talking about how we were looking forward to eating there when we visit Camp Newmar in October.
Any idea why they decided to pull the plug?
PS Dirk - great avatar

The waitress said it was the result of long standing landlord problems.
Beth, the regular waitress is no longer there.
A Newmar employee, who will remain anonymous, said the landlord was a pain.
Rumor has it that the restaurant paid the water bill for several businesses in the building as they were all on one meter, and now there was going to be a rent increase.
There was an older guy in overalls who used to come in and sit at the of the counter by the kitchen, who no longer comes in. I was told he was the owner.
The greasy spoon I referred to is PJ's Sports bar. They have a banner on the building stating "Now open for breakfast and lunch". It's between the Dairy Queen and the Speedway station.
I also heard the Country Table has cleaned up their act.

I was in for service last week and had breakfast at the Country Table 3 out of 4 days. I thought it was very good.

I was at Newmar for service last week and we ate at the Corner Cafe (too bad they're closing), the Country Table (good buffet), Martin's Deli for lunch (good soup and sandwiches) and at the Mexican restaurant downtown on highway 6 (very good food).

Leaving Newmar turn east on highway 6. It is on the left (north) side of the road just before you get to highway 19. We ate there last May when they had just opened and they had not got their liquor license. We ate there again in September and again last week. Their food and service has always been good. Oh, they have their liquor license now and a cold beer always makes Mexican food taste better.

I will be here until further notice. Sigh.
A factory rep from Dometic is here today to try and make my front AC work.

I had breakfast at the Dutch Kitchen, just west of Newmar by the old Mary's.
Good breakfast.
They're open 7 to 2 Mon thru Sat.
