I will be towing an '05 Honda CRV with all four down. Will the mileage, when I tow it behind our DSDP, be shown on the odometer?

No,
Be sure to follow the Towing procedures outlined in your Honda owners manual

We pull and 07 no mileage registers.I have been have battery going dead on arrival though.I will have to start pulling that #31 fuse or stop and run the car to keep battery up.Honda is telling me the computer is drawing the battery down which will not hurt it but you will end up with a dead battery and then you must recode the radio once you jump start the battery. You will also get a trans. fluid smell once you stop and use the toad.Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mike,
Go to TOAD-CHARGE Dinghy Vehicle Battery Charger/Maintainer and take a look at this product. It works as advertised. I would make the same purchase again.

I just ran a hot wire off the coach thru the plug and then tied it to my toad battery.

or when you stop for lunch run the engine to charge battery, as it will usually last about 4 hours...wire will work but with out fuse and an isolation diode or relay a problem in the car or coach becomes a problem in both..probably would not happen but certainly could so would suggest the kit or for 1/2 the price have a local shop set up an isolator and fuse on the wire..

Before I put this on the owner's site, I called Honda American headquarters to find out if they knew the answer to the question. Two different Honda service managers at different dealers could not answer the question.

The gal at the Honda headquarters had never had the question asked and had to put me on hold to provide me the answer. She told me that it would show the mileage on the odometer when towed. WRONG!!!

The answers I got from owners on this site were absolutely right. I have been able to rescue the DSDP from the nasty cold temperatures and snow of Missouri and head to Texas. NO MILEAGE IS RECORDED ON THE ODOMETER OF THE HONDA '05 CRV.

Thanks again for the help.

How come you guys battery's are going dead? You must have your brake buddy or whatever you have cycling too much. And if I smelled trans fluid when running the toad after towing, I would think I'm tearing up something.

And I'm still stuck in Missouri
