Has anyone had their windshield treated with Crystal Fusion or knows someone who has? The stuff is supposed to make the windshield shed water, reduce glare and increase strength to reduce damage from stones etc. From the information on its website, it sounds credible and the water repelling properties as well as the reduced glare for my aging eyes, would be nice regardless of whether the glass is less likely to crack from being hit by a stone thrown up by another vehicle. Anyone with experience with this product?

It sounds similar to Diamon-Fusion which was discussed HERE with some favorable and some unfavorable comments.

Dirk has it right... That's a good thread.

I can only add (remember I am the "I got Diamon-Fusion primarily for the insurance aspect" guy) that I did finally get a very tiny chip and the Diamon-Fusion guys had it fixed pronto and under insurance and with just one phone call to report it. So, my one insurance claim was very positive. Remember, I was expecting to take my rig to Alaska and fully expected to have a broken 'shield (hence the glass insurance being separate from my vehicle insurance was appealing) but neither happened.

As far as the other clarity of vision and so forth claims, well, I can't say better or worse. I will say after 30,000 miles that there is positively no sandblasting affect on any portion of that Imax window. It is a shiny as new. Did the Diamon-fusion prevent that or was I lucky in my wind blown dusty travels? Who knows...
