Damage the headliner?

The bathrooms in our 4037 have a halogen light fixture above the mirror. Its very close to the headliner which gets hot to the touch after the light has been on for a few minutes. I'm concerned that the headliner may turn brown after a while so considering switching out the bulbs to LED.

We ordered the LED upgrade but it only applies to the ceiling fixtures. Everything else is halogen or automotive incandescent.

Has anyone replaced the halogens in this fixture with LED? Which LED did you use and did it keep the headliner from getting so hot?

Yes i replaced my halogen puck lights with LED ........ no heat problems anymore. Two of my puck lights are under a cabinet. The thin carpet inside the bottom of the cabinet, above the light fixture, got discolored from the halogen heat. IMO they get "scary hot". I purchased my bulbs off the internet. There are two sizes, I think they are 10watt and 20watt replacement.

Pull one of the bulbs out, look and see what base it has. You'll probably want to go with a 20 watt, soft or warm white bulb to achieve the brightness and color you have now.

Look here for your replacements http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/boat-rv-bulbs/
