I have a 2002 Dutch Star. On the way to Texas we noticed a electrical smell coming from the dash heater. The dash blower motor quiet running. It will not run with the heater or AC. Has anyone ever replaced a dash blower motor? If I remove the cover over the coils from the nose, can I get the blower out this way? Or do I need to remove the dash on the inside to gain access? Thnanks

Is it in a box with a cover over it? If it's like a Essex you can take the front cover screws off of the box but you will notice that there is 3 screws on the top where it bends over that you can not get to. Just yank like hell because they are slotted on the top and then you can remove the cover and reach in and unscrew the 4 screws that hold the motors in. Check the wires to the resistors first. Wear long sleave shirt cause everthing is sharp. If it's an Evans unit make sure they get you the right motor.

Hi snoopy4967,
Welcome to iRV2 and the Newmar owners forum. Before jumping into blower motor replacement consider taking a voltage reading at the switch. The problem could be the switch.

I can not help with accessing the motor.

Thanks for the guidance, all is good direction. I will run some diagnostics on the switch and motor. Sometimes a person gets thinking about 1 thing and forgets the whole picture. Thanks
