Dash drawers getting really hot!

Things I keep in the 2 drawers in the dash were getting really hot. Took the drawers out to see what was going on. The 1st photo was what I found. I'm not sure how it's supposed to look but pretty sure this wasn't it. 2nd and 3rd pics show the end result. This should get the heat out in the coach and not all in the dash! Unfortunately, that is the (bad) design. I had a 2008 Mountain Aire also and wound up fixing it similar to what you did (although I just wired the hoses directly to the vent). Hope they're not still doing it this way.

It only cost less than 20 bucks to make the Plenum. I was out of Insul board or it would have been about 5 bucks.
