Previous coach used to power off of chassis battery. You had to push a button to have it powered while operating off of house batteries, gen, or shore power.
The green light on the unit is bright and I would like to shut it down or dim it. It is rarely used.
I did not opt for 6 disc player. Not sure if that matters as I think it is just a dash add on to the same radio.

The six pack CD is normally mounted remote in the over driver compartment.
The radio is powered by your coach batteries however should have a dim screen mode within the configuation menu.

Is the light the problem or noise from a fan or both? I ask because I had the same problem. Originally there was no way to jut turn the entire unit off. I got a rocker switch labeled "radio" from my Newmar Dealer. Then I put the radio keep alive lead on the chassis batteries and the main radio power on the coach batteries. The switch was placed in a vacant space in the bank of switchs in the dash.

Have the same issue-light shines to brightly and cannot be dimmed. Ordered the switch last week and will install same way.

Paint some nail polish of your choice to dim the light.

Forget nail polish as when the radio is on we need to be able to see the display! Wired to the coach battery will work nicely as it did in our last coach.

Could be, the radio has a one inch by four inch display which is on all the time-really bright!
