Dash stereo system.

It won’t keep a signal even when we are parked. Changed original antenna because it was dried out and cracked. Used a wire brush to clean connection before installing new antenna.

Welcome to the forum, D.Shive
We need some help what year is your coach is it gas or DP are you sure you changed the right antenna.
In exchange I will give you this information with a lot more to follow.
You may want to use the wire brush a little more and apply di-electric grease to bolt than attach the antenna.

Stereos usually have two power leads, one is ignition switched to run the stereo. The other is battery powered to maintain the clock and station memory. If there is a problem with that wire, you would lose the station memory. You might want to check the wiring.

Yes I’m sure it would help with more info. She’s a 2002 Dutchstar with a Sony MD/CD XR-CA600X. To be honest none of the entertainment (TV in and out haven’t gotten signals either. Put new Winegard on still no luck. The CD player only works occasionally also. We’ve been working on more important items and now we are ready for these. Hope one of the members can help. Thanks.
