Hi Everybody,
This is my first (of many, I'm sure) question. Nothing technical, just annoying. The day I bought my '02 (used) a string in the day/night shade broke. The previous owner broke it, so he immediately called the manufacturer and we can send them the shade for repair. I haven't done it yet, because I'd rather have a broken shade than no shade, but the winter is coming, so time for repair. Has anyone taken theirs down? Are they screwed it, clips of some sort? With the decorative valance, it's nearly impossible to see what's up there!! Any help will be appreciated, Kathy

Hi Kat31m,
On my signature coach the cloth trim around the window is held in place by 2 phillips screws on each side of the window. Once removed, the top cloth trim piece is held on by one screw, in the middle that goes up into the cabinet above the window. Once removed the shade is held on by typical shade clips. Turn the bottom of the shade away from the window and it should pop out of the clips. I enjoy the same problem you have.

Hi Kat31m our friends who have a 2004 Mountain Aire DP are taking there bedroom and livingroom day/nite shades to the factory in Elkhart, IN and are going to wait and have them restrung and then come back home and then head for thr Newmar rally in Vermont.
If your coach is under 3 yrs. old you pay to ship them there and they ship free of charge back to you, if you coach is older than 3 yrs. you pay shipping both ways, restringing is free of charge. Ed.S

If you run a hard bar soap bar on the strings it will help in gliding slide bars over the strings once you have new strings.
