This issue is a classic that Newmar has likely got lots of feedback that this is a problem. Maybe in 2019 there will be a solution!

Ours does the same. If you let one side go up, even slightly uneven it goes off track. That and the little tab at the bottom, on one side, broke off and now it's is constantlwy crooked and ready to roll up at the slightest touch. I've given up on keeping it in the track and just tell my family not to touch it.

Could someone post a picture of this? I want to check it out a lot when we get our new coach.

Ours has come out of its track, all the tech did was push it back in, we saw how he did it, not a repair but easy to do with a flat object - like pilotspike did. Our bigger concern is the tabs at the bottom, we have had one replaced and the same one broke again. Will have it done AGAIN at next warranty appointment. Agree the design could be better.

Interesting. Ours doesn't have tracks for the vertical at the sides. Its magnetic and the sides are held in place that way. Once you hook the clips at the top, the magnetic strips hold it in place on both sides ??

Another interesting note, with our immense door problems (a whole other story) when a replacement door was shipped, the screen door that came with it didn't have the roll down screen, it was permanently in place. So the shop took our roll up screen off the old door and put it on the new door. So sounds like they may be phasing out the roll up screen....although as stated, driving with it up prevents a bit of an issue seeing out that window effectively.

Has anyone found a permanent solution to this issue. Newmar repaired our screen twice, then replaced it. It is now out of the tracks again. This is a poor design.

Absolutely agree. Iíve had some success using credit cards inserted into the track running up and down to retrain the screen. Problems are often associated with grandkids as guests. It is irresistible to them.

I got sick of messing with it, so I installed a permanent screen with rubber spline on the outside of the door (yes, there's a track for the spline) and removed the pull down screen. The pull down screen also is a culprit for noise rattles while driving.

When we were back at factory, they put a permanent screen in ours. Very simple - the screen stays down and a permanent screen is put in the track on the other side. Now it is a real screen door - no up and down - that unit is still there but not used. Some folks are apparently concerned about looking out through screen - no problem for us! And no more “out of track.”
