Denver in winter?
Good Morning Everyone,
We stay at Cherry Creek State Park in the Summer when visiting our Children. Has anyone camped in. Dutch Star there in the winter? How did it work out? Would you do it again?
Thanks for you input,
Jeff and Lynn

Hi Jeff,
We don't have experience with Winter staying at CC state park, but we have had friends stay in our driveway here in Denver in their Dutch Star for a few days each of the last two January's with temps near zero and 30 amp power and they commented on how warm the coach was.
Good luck!!

Here is a link to cover everything for your winter stay, enjoy your stay.
If you keep furnace or Oasis on and full tank of water you can enjoy your stay purchase a insulated blanket for floor of wet bay if it gets real cold in water bay to help furnace keep area warm.

We stayed at CC last year over the Christmas holiday and will do again this year. Temp went down to zero one night and single digits for several more. We have the heated floors and were warm and toasty, as well as the bays.

Not having much "weather" here in Denver this year. Temps have been running 20 degrees above normal. Supposed to get below freezing and possibly have a little snow this Thursday night. Over a 20 degree drop in high temperature from Wednesday to Thursday.

Cherry Creek State Park is within 20 or 30 minutes of my home in Castle Rock. We use it as our winter getaway when we don't have time to go on a "real" trip, but just want to get out of the house in the dead of winter. The park will always be clean, space is easy to find and it is close to anything you might want/need. The snow melts quickly in the campground because of it's exposure to the sun so don't worry about getting snowed in until May or June. Chatfield park is your other option. Better scenery because it is closer to the mountains, but a bit further to drive if you run out of milk (10 minutes further).
