We are planning to be there Friday about noon. I believe A&S will have a Dutch Star and Ventana. Probably because of some show contract, Midway may not be able to bring any Newmar products.

I may wait until Friday, the way this weather is going. I'll give it another couple hours and decide.

I'll look for you if I go on Friday. I was under the impression that weekdays they open at 2pm. and weekends 11am.

I was mistaken at noon. We'll still be there at the opening bell at 2pm.

gwiz........I didn't see a whole lot of DP's that I was impressed with. Nothing that could come close to the Dutch Star quality.

Must be slow today. I didn't get it yet.

What happened to you? We wandered about until 5:30 and can't believe we didn't bump into each other. We toured every DP there three times. All 8 of them.

The Ventana 4369 with the couch instead of the bar stools was interesting. Also the most expensive coach in the show. Otherwise, like Larry stated, not much to look at. Somewhat underwhelmed.

We did converse with a couple who had a 2000 DS and were looking to upgrade. Another couple was looking to downgrade (2004 Essex to a DS).

Diann did find a wine rack in a 5'er that I should be able to make fit in our DS.

Well next week we'll be at the Chicago RV Show. Sure hope it's better.

I sent you a private message (PM). The short version is I really had to go to the men's room right after I got into the showroom and thought I would have enough time to get back when you walked in the showroom. Must have just missed you and Diann. I looked for you at Midway and then over ay A&S. And then just wandered around looking at a few coaches and left about 3:15pm.

Sorry for the mix up!

chicago rv show

Hello Everyone;

Didn't intend this to be my first post on the Newmar forum but….

John T, we attended the Chicago RV Show last year.
Here is a link to the Show this year and the brands (Class A) that are scheduled.
Brands | Chicago RV & Camping Show

Have to say, I thought that last years show had a Newmar there but can't recall.
We are headed to Phoenix in a week for vacation and are planning on seeing what's on the lots out there.
Next stop for us will be a Newmar factory tour. Really looking forward to that this summer.

Tom,
Thanks for the link. DW's sister / husband live West of Chicago and this year we're going to their RV Show. They have attend ours the last 4 years.

It's an opportunity to get out of town and enjoy time with the family. Maybe it will be warmer in Chicago.

Safe travels on your trip West.

Hello Everyone;

What triggered my response was the disappointment in the Novi show with regards to Class A product to view.
When we went last year to the Chicago Show, I initially thought it would be fun to get a MH and travel a few months a year.
Most of the smaller (under 40ft) MH's were ok, nothing that really stood out.
Then we sat in an Itasca Ellipse. Our eyes opened up to the possibility of actually doing this.
Now, we are planning on selling the S & B in 5 years and going full time.
Newmar and Entegra are on our short list right now.
Mostly through the Forum, and the enthusiasm from Newmar owners of their coaches have led us to focusing on DSDP and MADP models (read Hoots and others).
We are looking forward to the factory tour this summer and seeing more coaches.
For whatever reason, the nearest 'dealer' to Madison, WI is Newmar. They added a dealer in Milwaukee recently but have not seen anything posted in terms of inventory, yet.

Tom

Anything else good at the show. Sorry we missed it. It is nice to get out and walk in the warmth.
