How the Diamond Shield folks have such a steady hand is beyond me. They will cut the ripped portion of the tear out (so moisture won't get underneath - your worst nightmare) leaving a "hole" in the plastic just large enough such that all the edges are firmly attached. Just like the cuts around lettering, headlights, and the like. They just use a razor blade to do it.

This Diamond Shield you folks are discussing came on my 2009 canyon star. When I traveled to Florida I ended up with a mold growing under the film. I called Diamond Shield to no avail.... They said that Florida was the only place they heard of that you could pick up this mold spore....

Hi ddw1949,
DS lied to you. The mold problem is rampant. Heat and humidity do exacerbate the problem, but Florida is not the only place it occurs. I just took DS off my coach due to this problem.
