We're coming in today to Nappanee for a service appt on our coach; is I-90 West to Rte 19 South in Elkhart better than I-69 South to Rte 6 West? If neither, is there a better route?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Silversurfah,
We were there this summer. There is a lot of bridge repairing going on in the area. A bridge on Rt 6 may still have Rt 6 closed to through traffic. I recommend you take RT 19 South to Rt 6 and then West to Newmar. There is a shorter route, but it is back roads and one needs to know their way. You'll learn this traveling around in your toad while your coach is being serviced.

When traveling in the area, watch out for stop signs. I am not used to all the stop signs, out in the middle of nowhere.

When is your appointment. I will be there the first week in October.

Thanks Gary,

We pulled in yesterday we chose RT 19 south.. They were doing some paving in Elkhart which made for some tight turns at the construction site and we also had to stop to move a few cones in the middle of the road but we made it through. It is very busy here at Newmar there are a lot of coaches in for service. I guess this is the busy time of year here.

You have to understand that the orange traffic cone is the state flower of Indiana. They come out in April and stay in blossom until Late November.
