I have often recommended LaMesa RV (Tucson) for service, in particular Joseph (service advisor) and Scott (Technician). I drive over 100 miles each way to reach them, but I have always found it worthwhile, as they have solved problems that no one else could. My latest trip was (thank goodness) just for a pre-trip check, oil, filters, etc. (40 point check-up). I am always greeted personally, treated like a long-lost friend, offered lunch (this dealer serves grilled lunch daily for customers), and asked what my concerns are. Since I had no concerns I just visited with Joseph, asked about his family, and was on my way. Upon my return, Scott went over a couple of things he found, and Joseph and I visited, and when he asked if I would like to go over the bill, I said no, if I didn't trust him I wouldn't be there. But, imagine my amazement when I later looked at the bill and there was a $375 "discount", which was close to what I paid. Not only did i get the best service in the West, a pleasant visit with old friends, an RV wash to make my coach sparkle, but now a discount. When I lived in Florida, and took my new coach to where I bought it (for service) it cost 3 X what LaMesa charged me!
I must emphasize that I go to LaMesa for quality service, not price, but must mention to the group this added bonus.

THAT'S the kind of place I too like to deal with. Ya can tell em they've got a new customer here, based on your recommendation!! I'll certainly give em a try if I need svc. in that area. Glad to see there are still some places where they know what service is. Thanks for the info,....and....thanks LaMesa.

I have used La Mesa service in the Phoenix area and they always did a good job. However, there labor rates are some of the highest in the area. I currently pay $ 199.00 at a Peterbilt dealer for lube, oil, filters and 30 point safety check. What did La Mesa charge for those services that allowd them to give you a $375.00 discount?

Since it's a Peterbilt dealer I assume it's a chassis check, which is about half of what LaMesa in Tucson does. Scott, who I previously mentioned does the coach check, including a/c filters, hydro-hot, etc., while the chassis (its a Spartan) goes to another Tech (oil, filters, etc.). I would get into a pricing discussion if I thought it was germain, but my point was regarding the consistently excellent service, by honest, friendly, knowledgeable individuals who care about me and my coach. Hell, they even take phone calls from me on their cell phones if I have any issues on the road!
My father always said to beware the individual who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.
