Also doesn't necessarily need to be drawers in that space. We had a special in our order to install cabinet doors and an adjustable shelf which provides a lot of flexibility in terms of storage in that space.

Thanks Steve. Looks like your auto corrector has run amok!

We just had to cancel out of the February rally, have booked the Memorial Day at Boerne and hoping to be able to attend March and April. Hope to see you at a rally soon.

I really do need to turn off auto correct, my apologies Scott. We are out west until May but have signed up for the memorial day event. Hope to see you there.
Safe travels- Steve

This is interesting, Slab. Same exact thing happened to us. We got the Fisher Paykel dishwasher in our 2013 Dutch Star 4018. It is an outstanding piece of technology that I love, but, alas one that gets very little usage because Joanne does the dishes herself and, just like your wife, prefers the extra space to be filled with drawers. So that's what we're doing on our new '15 Dutch Star 4369 order.

We considered Swag's cabinet doors and adjustable shelf -- a great idea IMO -- but Joanne wanted two drawers as she finds better utility for her kitchen stuff in drawers at that location.

I guess we're the tech guys impressed with the gadgets and the DWs are the practical ones who know how the space is best utilized.

I get it -- even though I love the fabulous piece that this dishwasher is.

Not mine. She'd love to have that dishwasher. Slabman, let me know when you're taking yours out.

Deek
Deek,

Dishwashers are boring ... you're getting distracted, let's stay focused on the important things!

Gheidbrink: We have a Dutch Star 4002 on order, and also opted for the drawers instead of the dishwasher. Did you get the standard drawers, or is the 10 inch drawer depth a special? Very interested, because we also would want the deepest drawer possible for pots/pans.

On a related note, we have added two additional pull outs for the storage next to the refrigerator.

Ron,
We did get the 10 inch deep drawer and we also ordered extra drawers for the pantry. I can hardly wait for it to come.

Is the 10 inch what they normally provide as one of the drawers when you don't get the dish washer, or is that a special? Sorry for being a bit dense, because we didn't make any special request, just didn't get the dishwasher.

Ron,
I do not know what the standard drawer is. We went through several iterations from door to drawers. We wanted the deepest drawer we could get so that's how we ended up with the 10" drawer.
