I have a DLS-75 IODA Converter and I just ordered a IQ4 Smart Controller. I have read and I understand what it does. My questions are. Is it as simple as the directions say, I just plug it in? Also why would they NOT have it in the first place? And does it matter where I mount it?

I have the older version of converter where you have to watch the charge of batteries so they do not boil out the water if I have the strap connected.
Your unit will control the charge rate weekly and automaticly disconnect high charge when batteries are at peak charge.
If your plugged in all the time and traveling unit may not ingage as much.
Why not there already if you use coach all the time may not need it added cost. Good feature if coach not plug in during winter months.
I would just mount near main unit so you can see led when its in use.
