Do I need to get some sheets real quick? LOL

I have finally actually stepped foot inside my very own Bay Star. LOL Demo is tomorrow, and I expect to head out early Friday morning to the campground in PA.

Do I need to get some sheets and pillow cases?? LOL I saw the blanket on the bed, but seems like there was just the plastic-wrapped mattress underneath.

And if I do need sheets, just standard king-sized ones?

Fairly certain that sheets will not come with you MH. Do you have a traditional mattress or a Sleep Number? My SN mattress is RV King with radius corners. Hard to find a perfect fit. Certainly not from SN.

Congratulations on the new coach. Glad to see that you are jumping in with both feet and hitting the road in it. Enjoy your new coach.

Sheets and pillowcases are not normally provided. The mattress is most likely a "RV King" as noted by TWINCAMSAM and we've found that the closest fit is the "California King." There's a bit of size variance between sheet manufacturers, so getting an exact fit is hit-and-miss.

I would think an SN is a higher-end mattress option, so I think I have a traditional one. It's a 2019 Bay Star, so I doubt it's too fancy.

Ours is a "traditional" mattress, not SN.

Hi,

We did not order the SN but the traditional mattress. How do you find it? Did you add any toppers to the bed? The sheets you used were Cal King? Did the rounded corners have much impact?

Thanks

Quite a few, including us, have purchased a foam pad to put on top of the mattress. We got our at Walmart for around $100.

We used a quilted mattress pad on top of the mattress; not very thick. I doubt that it had much impact on the comfort level. With that combination, we find the mattress to be quite comfortable.

As for the Cal King fitted sheets, we did not notice that the corners were unusually rounded; pretty much the same as as a regular King fitted sheet except a bit narrower.

Hi Allentc2,
King bed for your model is 72"X80". Looks like a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond is in your future. FYI, the coach comes with no accessories. No water or sewer hose and nothing inside. For convenience, consider stoping a CW to get what you need.

I have ordered RV sheets for the king size bed in the CS. I also had to break open the sofa bed this past week and it was a really odd size: 52" x 74" (full).

I ordered from AB Lifestyles. They specialize in RV sheets, spreads, and assorted RV linens. I also ordered a mattress pad for the sofa bed.

https://www.ablifestyles.net/

I ordered on a Thursday and got the sheets the next Wednesday. Free shipping. Great sheets; the flat sheets have corners that are elasticized and will hang on to the mattress. Very helpful with the odd sizes.

This is the sheet set I ordered for the king bed and the sofa bed; very comfy and great price:

Walmart sells a $10 sleeping bag that might allow time for sheet shopping.

Hmmm...I went back to the RV with a friend of mine. Spent some time looking at the mattress. Seems to be normal, corners rounded but not crazily.

Mattresses have probably changed over the years but with ours we had to make sure the sheets weren't for deep pockets (really thick mattresses like you find now in home mattresses) or else we'd have an excess to work with. We bought ours at WalMart.
