Do MSRP discounts vary much by model?

We have been thinking about ordering a new (2018) coach. First thought was a Dutch Star, but may now have expanded our options to considering a Mountain Aire or London Aire. Are the percentage discounts higher or lower on the more expensive units? Or, are they about the same across the board?

I think the MSRP discounts vary from dealer to dealer. They are whatever you can negotiate with the dealer you are considering buying from. Of course it also depends on if you have a trade in and if that unit has a lien. It would make since to me that the higher up the food chain the coach is the higher the discount might be. When I ordered my rig from the factory, the issuing dealer offered an MSRP discount of 15% and I negotiated a final 26% discount.

Yes, the discounts off MSRP vary- lower end coaches are ~ 25% going on up to ~33% on London Aire through King Aire. I got 32.4 % off on my 2014 MADP from Independence RV in Wintergarden, FL. However - it was loaded with options & specials & MSRP was $546,800 back in 2013 when I was ordering. I was also dealing for cash with no financing. I shopped 5 other dealers & Independence RV had the sharpest pencil of all 6 dealers. There was a 7.2 point spread between the dealers- that was a $39,696 dollar delta between the highest & lowest!

I also bought my 2005 MADP from them because they had the best deal.

Happy Trails

On slow moving coaches at the end of the model year Newmar will assist dealers with extra funds to move coaches out.
