Do you hesitate to mod your MH interior?
I'd venture to guess we all are of similar mentality here, we have nice things AND we try to keep them nice for resale. When I did my FPU I met a couple that toured me in their DSDP teaching me all about their mods inside and out. One thing I thought was how they attached things to everything, even the dash. That was foreign to me in my OCD'ness of keeping things with future resale in mind.
I am trying to find a place to mount my security camera and that thought comes to mind, should I screw into this...or avoid modifying anything you can see on the interior? I hesitated even putting RAM mount adhesive mounts on my dash.
The fact of the matter with MH's is we are not getting our money back in resale, for anything. We will all suffer a painful loss aka depreciation that won't align with "our value" is my opinion and assumption. So why not make your house yours? If you want to put something on the dash, do it. Want to attach something somewhere, do it.
So do you hesitate in doing things for this resale mentality of trying to keep things the way they came from the factory? Spill your beans to IRV2 therapy.

I too would be hesitant to leave screw holes in places they aren't necessary. But we have done, or I should say had done, many woodworking mods by people who made them look just like they came from the factory. I am talking about adding shelves, doors and drawers; that kind of thing. I don't worry about it being different from OEM. I think they are more likely to make the coach more appealing.

Going to be following this with interest. I've been thinking about adding a few of these Arkon discs to the dash, as I did on my ACE. I never actually removed them from my ACE, since the person that bought it said to leave them.
The ACE had a similarly rough/pebbled dash, so there is no way to mount a suction cup device. These discs (possibly like the RAM ones) give you a flat surface.

There are some things that I would like to add, like towel bar in the kitchen, etc., but haven't decided if I wanted to start mounting things.

How long do you plan on keeping your rig? I tend to keep things for a long time and therefor put livability over resale. That being said, I try to hide any mods that I do so that they are not easily seen.
Good luck!

One thing my PDI tech recommended, because I wasn't happy with the LARGE gap between driver's side privacy screen and the window, was to see if I could get a pre-finished piece of wood from Newmar, or the stain, to add a leg down from the wooden valance at the top of the driver's window.
I've considered something like this, which would hopefully be done well enough that it would perfectly blend with the rest of the wood work, as Shell mentioned doing above.
My biggest concern is that it would likely have to be screwed in and not knowing if I will hit wires or anything else critical in the wall.

I consider a job installation to be perfect if it can be undone leaving no trace.
I will screw things in areas that are unseen. I prefer to route cables thru existing pathways, and try to avoid drilling.
There are exceptions.

Like an item like a security camera, I would try and mount a bracket that could be screwed to the inside of the front drivers valence or the forward surface of the overhead tv cabinet, then mount the camera to the bracket. Could easily be removed without it being visible at a later date. If I were to mount something (I try not to)that would be visible, I would plan on leaving it when I sold the coach

I think everyone has a different idea of what is tastefully modded and what is tacky. My coach came with several holes in the walls where the p.o. hung pictures or maybe a clock, it bugs the [Mod Edit] outta me! Also had some junk stuck to the dash that may have been a cell phone mount of some sort..... That kind of stuff drives me nuts, and I have worked to remedy it. When it comes to adding stuff that I want, I do it. When I add anything I make it look professional, no big ugly screws, no wires showing, and no gaudy crap. That is how I like it, then again someone else would probably look at my stuff as I looked at the p.o. junk that I fixed. What's the difference? Personal opinion. Do what you want to do.... after all, it is YOUR pride and joy. No need to worry about who likes it. The only time you should not add your own touch is when you buy a coach knowing your olny keeping it for x amount of years and then selling or trading it, in that case keep everything reversible. As I said before, it's all personal opinion and someone may not like your taste and not buy it.

If it’s something generic, and useful like say, a key ring hanger, or towel rack, I don’t mind mounting it and leaving it. But for pictures on walls, as well as hooks for bathrobes, or hats etc, command strip hangers are a Godsend. Using them, we were able to remove all of them from our trade-in with zero damage to the wallpaper/paneling. So, my answer is, both. We personalize with only ourselves in mind, but when possible will do so without disrupting original construction. Not just with resale in mind though, we never know when we might want to change things around, or upgrade things.

Since I bought mine very used and with not intention of flipping it, I do what I need to do to make it more enjoyable for my family's use.
I have fun making those upgrades.
If it was bought new, and I had a habit of upgrading every 5 years, then I might be a little less adventuresome. Like, using removable adhesive strips to apply the coffee cup holder to the dash and similar.
When selling, similar to selling a home, all personal effects and changes are removed, everything is put back to sterile, new towels on the towel bar etc.

No. If you do a good job installing a modification it adds value.

We have a 1998 Monaco. I don't think much about resale - we bought what we want, and are unlikely to trade until it dies.
Lots of little projects inside. I have added reading lights, replaced the backsplash, added pouches near the driver and passenger seats, bulletin board, maybe ten pieces of (fake) Alaskan native art on the walls. We eliminated the rear TV (never used) and made a bookshelf, which we do use. If a change makes it better for us, I will do it.
The interior is pleasant, but not my favorite. Had I the extra money sitting around, I would likely strip the interior, mahogany paneling on the walls, more modern cabinets with aviation-style latches, matching leather furniture (like that in a Ford King Ranch pickup!), touch switches, bigger shower, two sofas (one with recliners), etc.
I see it in my head, and have never seen one like it. That maybe indicates most people would not want a RV that looks that way. No doubt the cost would far exceed the value of the RV.

I ripped mine down to the frame, pulled out all the flooring, ran new wires, and peeled open the fiberglass on the side.

I never think about resale with anything I own.
We built our house 27 years ago and the builder kept pointing out things that wouldn't make for great resale. I wasn't building to sell I was building to live in it.
That being said I'm also very anal and I suffer from OCD, I did not attach the address number to the house for 20 years because I didn't want to screw into the side and I wasn't sure if I wanted to attach them permanently in case I changed my mind where I wanted them.
So even in our very used RV I don't drill or stick things.
I do love 3m Command strips though. The heavy duty ones can hang a tank and they remove easily.
