Boo :( I was hoping that would do it. I had actually been thinking it was the wood applique around the door frame. Keep us posted.

As an emergency temporary fix I would try loosening the screws and slipping a strip of wax paper under the trim on all four sides and tightening the screws back up squeezing the wax paper between the wall and trim, that may quiet the window for a while.

This is what I was thinking. It may be that the edge of the plastic wall could be rubbing on the frame itself. in that case the wax paper won't do the job.

Fortunately for me, Newmar's warranty is covering the costs. I have a local truck specialist working directly with Newmar to fix this and other issues. I will share the results

That's good to know. I contacted Newmar today regarding my awnings, but I also included the window noise in my call and email. Hopefully they'll cover the same service. Now, who to take it to..?

That's the question. In my case I found a good shop who was willing to work with Newmar directly. This way I have no out of pocket expense

Newmar suggested I take it to the dealer for a fix, but I don't have time for this right now.

So, I ghetto rigged the window - it is totally quiet now and will do until we're back from this trip.

Have a look:-)

The outside of the window is covered with a MagneShade - that's why it looks even weirder. I just wedged three wooden rods into the frame and there is no more twisting now!

Wax Paper will not work. The noise is not caused by the frame rubbing against the wall. The frame is being twisted when you drive. I can actually duplicate the creaking by just pushing or pulling the frame while it is installed. The noise is extremely annoying.

I know! YOu are looking from the inside out the passenger window. Look carefully and you will see three wooden braces that go across the window - that's my ghetto fix for now. They are held up by friction only but it works. I will go after a permanent fix when we're back in October.

This window isn't in the drivers compartment. Where is it?

It is the passenger window right next to the entrance. Your passenger seat is right underneath.
