Newmar did build it, only I didn't think it was quite that many years ago. I can't remember the model name and Jim is correct it only lasted a very short life.

It is in fact a Newmar New Aire. This short lived creation only came in an all electric coach and was not cheap. As well as being small and pricy, I don't think the all electric helped it sales at that time.
It's funny, it is one of my comments in this weeks blogs, and I wrote it some weeks back. You will also see a link to New Aire giving some background of the vehicle.
Check it out here

Yes, it was Newmar and I saw a brand new one in March of 2000 at the 2nd Annual Great American RV Rally in Perry, Georga.

When I was touring the plant last year with Bob we saw an old one pretty much torn apart. Darla explained it was an experiment that failed miserably for Newmar. They kept a few in running order but, I can't remember why.
Despite the failure, I think it is positive when a risk is taken like that.

If I remember right it was advertised for the solo woman who wanted to keep RV'ing when her partner was no longer available and for those who wanted a diesel, but a smaller rig. We saw one in Primm, NV
I wonder if they would take off now with how the times have changed. It seems all the diesels grow in size and cost.
We had an all electric coach when we had our Country Coach. Loved it!
