Does Newmar attend any RV shows in mid-south?

I would like to see some more Newmars to see different furniture and other features to help me choose what I might want to add to my Ventana.

There isn't much inventory on lots around here, so I was wondering if Newmar would have any presence at any RV shows in Tenn, AR, MO, TX, MS, etc. or if it's just the local dealers that attend the shows and bring their own units.

I am not aware of any big RV show in those states where Newmar would be exhibiting. It would be worth your while to take a road trip or jump on a plane to one of the larger Newmar dealers such as North Trail in Fort Myers or National Indoor in Atlanta where you could see a wide variety of Newmar coaches. Or even better yet, go to the 2018 Florida RV SuperShow - Florida RV Trade AssociationFlorida RV Trade Association which starts next Wednesday. It is one of the biggest if not the biggest RV show in the nation (huge). Newmar will be there as well as many others.

I wish I could make it to Tampa, but the timing is just real bad. If it was next month I might be able to pull it off.

I believe at Tampa, North Trail is the exhibitor for Newmar with just about every coach there along with Newmar execs.

Since you listed TX, there is a large Newmar dealer N of Dallas in Lewisville. National Indoor RVC. Ask for Angie- she is a Newmar expert. Likely there will also be a Newmar corporate presence display at the FMCA convention in Perry, GA during March 2018

I'll be out of the country during that time in March. I'll need to reach out to NIRV. Looking at their online inventory, they show tons of units as sale pending, very few in stock that aren't, but maybe those sale pending units can be viewed. I'm about 6 hours from Lewisville.

Be aware that 2018 model year is actually winding down and in-stock units may start getting scarce. I would call NIRV and find out what is available to look at, you may even be able to look at "Sale Pending" units to get an idea of furniture choices etc.
North Trail in Florida does keep a strong inventory through the winter because it has a strong winter seasonal customer base. It may be one of the only locations with several coaches to view.

I figured that's what I was running into. Dealers didn't want to place orders for units for their lots at the end of the model year. Most of the units they have coming in now are customer orders.

Actually, it may be just the opposite.

I seem to remember reading recently that Newmar's order backlog is so big that they had stopped taking orders from their dealers for "lot stock". If I'm remembering correctly, Newmar was only going to accept orders from their dealers for "retail sold" coaches. Not sure if it was for all products, or just select models. Also, it seems almost every year about this time, Newmar announces how many chassis they have left on which they can build specific models, but I've not seen those announcements....yet.

Likewise, I seem to remember Newmar also announced plans to increase production to 50 coaches per week starting in January.

These are really good times for the RV industry in general, and Newmar's reputation for quality products is obviously driving increased demand.

That would explain all the "sale pending" I see on National Indoor's site.

Right before Christmas I was told 10 diesel chassis left (not sure if that was Ventana specific) and after the first, I was told 7.

After discussing with the dealer that it would be the last production week, he suggested we get an order placed as soon as they open up ordering and it would likely only be about 6 weeks later than I would get the '19, so I decided to take his advice.

I've been told that there is a really big rally in Georgia every year, like 500+ RVs. I would think that there would be some big hitters taking advantage of that populace.

I know there is an FMCA rally in Georgia in March (the only one I've been able to find), but I'll be out of the country when it's going on.

You don’t list your location in your signature, but if it’s Texas, there are two other Newmar dealers in state. You have Holiday World in Katy ( just west of Houston) and Ancira RV in Bourne (just west of San Antonio). However, I would agree with ed gray that NIRV in Lewisville is the go-to dealer in Texas.
