Does Newmar publish model year "numbers"?
More specifically, how many of each type and model (i.e. DSDP 4369's) they produce in a given year. Or just how many of each line (ie. BayStar, Essex, etc.).
I would be curious to know the breakdown.

You can get some idea of production by looking at the recall notices. Here's one for Kidde fire extinguishers from about 1995 through 2018. For example, in 2017 Essex they started with serial number 80212 and seemed to go mostly sequentially to 801247. 2017 Dutch Stars start at 606049 and end at 606692. If you really wanted to figure it out, you could take all the recall notices, put them in a spreadsheet, sort by serial number and eliminate duplicates.
BTW, just glancing through, in 2017 DSDP 4369's seemed very popular.

I think 650 for DS out of a total of 2,000 ish sounds about right. DS is their highest volume.

Being privately owned Newmar doesn't release many sales figures.

We had the 39th Essex built with # 800039 in 2004. It was in 2011 they had built 1000 Essex. Building 10 coaches a day which means 50 a week or in 2018 around 2400 this year. Every coach built has been order by a dealer for inventory or ordered by a future owner.

Yes, they are pretty forthcoming about that at the factory, but I'm just curious as to why they wouldn't release production numbers for each model. I know Chevrolet does each year with their Corvette line and I always found it interesting to see what models/options/colors were most popular for that particular year..

We have noticed in the last 21 years of Newmar ownership that almost all coach builders don't like to share there built numbers. It even goes to chassis choice information. Many times you can do the math your self like knowing the different model numbers first number. Since we have owned both London Aire's and Essex we know that our LA # is 501511 which means it was the 1511 LA built with our build date of 10-17. Our Essex was number 800039 which would have been the 39th Essex built which was made in 9-03. All LA start with a 5 and all Essex start with an 8.
