Dometic Comfort Control Unit (no fan)
5 Button 2004 Newmar, Penguin AC Units

Retuned form trip AC units working fine. 7 weeks later decided to use the AC to cool unit, AC compressor went on but no fan? Try same with other AC same problem, try just using fan on both units, fans not working. Anyone have any ideas I have looked over the manual without being able to find a solution.

Thanks in advance for any HELP, ron

Hi Ron,
This is a shot in the dark. It sounds like it might be the thermostat. Looking for the common point of control for fan power, it is the thermostat. If your coach has EMS, I have no idea.

Thank so much for the advice. I was climbing up on my roof when I hear a sound so I climbed back down entered the couch and the front fan was working, I must have left it on all night so that was good. I tried turning on the rear fan no luck so I completed my journey to the roof removed the shroud and sure enough the squirrel cage was stuck I loosened it but it did not go on I touched the motor and it was very hot returned to the inside shut the fan off let it cool down for several hours then when I retried it worked (VOLA).

Had the same problem a year ago. The first thing I do in the spring before I plan to use the AC is go up on the roof, take the shrouds off, clean the units and spin the squirrel cages.
