Dometic Oasis door awning

Today I noticed that my power door awning does not retract all the way. It sticks out about 1/8-1/4 in from being flush. The cap is loose enough that it will bounce up and down, and appears to be the source of a rattle I hear while driving.

Does anyone have information on how to adjust this?

I had my Oasis awning off for the common motor ratchet replacment. I had the same problem as you describe. The arms may need adjustment. Look at where the arms connect to the outside end plate, there are bolts that can be loosened to enable the arms to be moved. Only takes a small movement, maybe 1/4 inch either direction. Also, if you look at the end plates on the awning, there is a small latch on both ends that looks to me that it keeps the awning in place. May be worn. But, I bet that the arm adjustment will fix the problem. Hope this helps.

Can you give me any details about the arm adjustment? I do not see anything in the manual that says how or what to adjust.

Look at the two bolts on the end plate that holds the arms. You will need to extend the awning to see this. Loosen and they will slide. Nothing in the manual that I could find.

Are these the stopping point? It sounds like it should be simple. I will give it a go in the morning and take pictures. Thanks!

Yes, they are the stopping point. Mark them before you move them so you have a reference point. Very small movement required.

Here is a thread found in QT's # 3 that may help if not a adjustment problem.
