Door Adjustment

We have a 2000 Dutch Star Diesel Pusher 3859. We've noticed that we have to slam the door pretty hard to get it closed fully so we don't get a draft. I've looked, but not sure if the door has an adjustment. I can see that the door doesn't seem to line up when looking at it from the outside. And is it a big deal to replace the door gasket?

We had a door slamming issue on our new Canyon Star when we took delivery. Didn't realize what was going on until we were far from the dealer on our first trip. But, over time we realized that the door gasket, although seemingly installed correctly, was able to get into undesirable positions whenever the door was opened and closed again. Kind of hard to describe but it was almost too soft and moved around so much that it got "pinched" in ways that actually made it harder to close the door fully. We were able to use thinly sliced velcro strips (the soft fuzzy half of the velcro mostly) placed behind the gasket every foot or so with the glue side against the door to keep the gasket from moving around so it couldn't get pinched every time the door closed. Again, hard to describe I know. And we don't really have pictures of it. But, you may want to take a very close look at your door gasket and check for unnecessary pinching before you try to adjust hinges or locks or ??? While you may actually need a door adjustment the gasket may be the source of the problam. Worth checking closely. Good luck.

I have had to slam my door since I bought it. Some others have had the same problem and the general opinion was that it could not be fixed!

I should've added that in heavy rain we get water that comes in at the bottom of the door that gets the bottom step wet. I think I probably need a new door gasket. Anyone have experience replacing it?
