On my 2007 Mountainaire 45 ft DP, the awning over the entry door will not extend. Any suggestions?

Not sure this is your problem but something you may want to know.

Not sure if this will help, but on our 05 DS I've had twice to take the motor off and clean and dry the motor and housing. Only four screws are involved and it's a relatively easy fix. Seems there is no weep hole for any water and dust to exit from. It fills the outer case of the motor and shorts out the whole shebang. I tried to seal with silicone but that just lasted a couple of years. Next time I'll probably bore a weep hole. Hope this helps.

Definately need to bore a small hole in the bottom of the motor housing to drain the water. I also suggest some eternabond tape to cover that top seam rather than silicon that never seems to work. The water runs right off the gutter and spout onto motor cover seams and around the edges. I never could keep out the water with silicon. The tape made the difference.

SUPER info. I've had a shop fix this thing twice and finally gave up. Think I will now try to take it apart and see what's up. THANKS!

Great responses! Thanks for the input. Where is the fuse for this awning in case the moisture caused the fuse to blow?

We have a 2007 Mountain Aire and the same thing happened on our August 2011 trip. We have the weep holes and the area was clean. I was told to wack the side of the motor a couple of times, as the bearing seize up from non use. Did that and the motor started working. Now at every opportunity I run it out and back in. WE used it very little. Good luck with yours

With mine I could hear the motor click whenever i operated the controls. That told me it was getting power. It is a very low level click so hard to detect.
