My 2007 Kountry Star has a very annoying rattle in the door. After much listening and poking around I believe it is caused by the air operated piston that lives in the door jamb and is supposed to pull the door securely closed when the air brake lock is released. I have adjusted and played with this mechanism with no success. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenum? If so, how did you fix it? I have adjusted mine untill the plastic cam mechanism is cracked and still the rattle persists.

Have a nice day - Darrel

The rattle you say you hear in the door. My wife and I kept hearing the annoying rattle in the door. BUT upon further investigating. We found that the acrylic handle was the culprit. It was loose in between the two holders, making it sound like it was the door. I applied sealant to both ends and now we have no more rattle.

The rattle in mine was the folding piece of metal at the top of the door that holds it from opening too far. I bent it slightly and added a piece of velcro as a cushion to keep it from coming into contact with the other portion or the door which is whar was causing the rattle. It's been silent ever since.

Check and make sure that the air valve is operating. Small 12v valve has a tendency to stop up. open door and work parking brake.

Thanks for all the responses

I checked the Acrylic handle and it is tight. I had already removed the little air solenoid and it operates correctly. The mechanism above the door surely could be the rattle I have applied the velcro fix and if it solves the problem I will be delighted

thanks again - Darrel
