Some time back there was an interest in removing/replacing those dreaded pleated shades. Well here is our phase one attempt at replacing the front side shades. We are still assesing the front window shades which is more complicated due to the middle TV cabinet which makes it almost impossible to put one shade accross the entire front.

Old pleated shades(we also removed the pulldown black day shade).

New pulldown matching(color matches interior colors) shades available from Blinds These are used for both daytime driving shades and nightime shades.

We left the tracks for the pleated shades, but had to relocate the driver side tract to allow mounting room for the new shade. The new shades were mounted the same as the old black day shades.

to be totally honest, I think your new shades look 100% better than the old ones.

May I ask what you are doing with the pleated shades you have removed? The reason I ask is I had a roof leak and my curtains stained and now need replacing.

Derek, We are presently keeping the shades(as they are new) for possibility of putting them back up someday when we sell the coach. Also had to modify one large one to use as the front driverside shade until we figure out the next move for the front.
