Driver and Passenger power requirements

Ok I know there is at least 5 jokes on the title of this thread but

Looking for your real world input on what type of power 12V,USB etc, how many and where you placed the outlets. Looking to have what I need done at the factory as specials.

Looking to have

TPMS 12V?
Stand alone GPS (I like it slightly to my right) 12V
Dash Cam in the future 12V or USB?
Power for a small laptop for Silver-leaf
?????
Passenger 12V?

Thanks for your input.

Driver and Passenger power requirements

Hi,

I know at least a few jokes base on the thread title but...

I'm looking for how you powered devices in the cockpit on a 4369 or any other Newmar coach.

Looking to install TPMS, stand alone GPS, dashcam and maybe a Silverleaf monitor and any other items you may suggest.

Where do you place the 12V or USB and how many do you have. Did you install a 12V on the Passenger side.

I know both Drive and Passenger has access to 110V plugs.

I'm looking to add any additional requrirements as specials.

Thanks for any and all words of wisdom.

On our LADP we added 1-12VDC outlet to the left of the glove box, 1-12VDC on the driver side under the cup holder, 1-12VDC, and 1-12VDC on the passenger side under the console. I am going to install 2 additional 12VDC outlets forward of the dash bump under the windshield area. BTW, we installed additional 120VAC & USB outlets between the recliners & in the credenza.

I have two 12V Aux outlets on the front of the dash. One I use for my Patriot, the other is for cell phone or whatever. There is a 120V on the firewall under the glove box but it's only used to charge iPads etc at night.
All others like the GPS, Dash Cam etc I hard wired into the fuse panel under the cover in front of the steering wheel. That way I was able to run the cables in such a way they are hidden and not dangling around the dash.

If I were ordering a new coach, I would have them add a half dozen blank fuses in the panel so you can just access them at will. I hate cords dangling all over.

I bought an adapter at Walmart, it plugs into one of my 12v outlets, and has 3 outlets (12v) and a on/off switch. It has tape to place it where I want, it has a long power cord.

We had one additional 12V installed on the dash to the left of the driver (for GPS). One in center dash for TOAD brake monitor and TPPM. There are plenty of USB sockets throughout the coach for our needs. The most critical add for us was the 12V to driver/left. No "right" configuration for everyone as we each have our own preferences and toys/tools to plug in.

Additional 12V outlets

I had 2 additional 12v outlets installed on the drivers side, on the blank spot to the left side of the steering wheel. On my dash, there is room for 2 or 3 more. I wish I had ordered 3 (GPS, Tire pressure monitor, and dash cam). Depending on what you plug in, a USB (1 or more) many also be desirable. We did not add any to the passenger side.
