Driver seat vinyl or leather?
I just saw these cuts on the top of the driver seat. guess it may be from the clip in the back of a head cap I had on during the last trip. looking closer at the cuts, these seats do not look like leather, rather they are more like vinyl. very surprising to see these look more like a vinyl than a leather, specially on a 17ladp.. never had any other coach where the seats were damaged from a plastic clip on the back of a head cap..

There should be a tag at the seat base, "Under penalty of Federal Law" on the seat materials. If you can't get eyes on it, use your phone camera to take a shot of it.

I always thought they were pleather, a mix of leather and vinyl. You won't see all leather products in most coaches.

According to the 2017 LA brochure, front seats are Villa Ultrafabrics.

Thank you for the info, yes they are some type of vinyl/leather, not the best quality. hopefully the replacement covers are a better quality.

There is more leather in a cold beer than in our coaches boys. That’s a fact. They are plastic. Pleather=plastic that feels somewhat like leather.

The same thing with automotive leather seats. Only the center piece (insert) is leather. The side bolsters and skirts are usually made of vinyl on the seat cushion and seat backs. You can see the difference in material if you look closely.

I love that some think there is some sort of a vinyl/Leather mix. There is no such thing. (Some seats do have leather in some areas, and vinyl in other areas, but they do not 'mix' the two together. (Unlike chocolate and milk, which can mix)
My seats are Leather (Steelcase) but my motor home is very old. (1988 Southwind).
I have to agree, most likely very little natural materials in the seats these days.

I don't think anyone claimed " some sort of a vinyl/Leather mix." They were saying what you said, " Some seats do have leather in some areas, and vinyl in other areas" Very common in vehicles and home furnishings. The seat bottom might be real leather, but many other parts are the man-made imitation.
If the damage is only on the headrest, it might be repaired with no detection either by the OP or many upholstery shops. It might not require replacement of the whole cover, which might not match the co-pilot's chair. Replacing both covers for one small blemish would seem extravagant and you have no guarantee the replacement cover(s) would be 100% real cowhide. -- Unless you pay for it.
