Drivers side window leak.

Good morning all, we have a '99 DSDP with the dreaded creation windows. My drivers window is letting in water when it rains and I need suggestions on how to stop it. I know about replacing all of the rubber around the window, but I was wondering what some of you other DS owners have done.

We had a small leak on our PS window and I took blue painters tape edged all around those areas to make a nice clean edging. Then I used Clear Proflex and went around that whole area. Wetted my finger, smoothed it all out, removed blue tape and a nice clean line of new sealant fixed the problem.

I had the power window on my 04 DS. The rubber wipe on the bottom of the window warped and cracked. I put a 1 inch wide Velcro strip (soft side) along this rubber wipe and it sealed against the window and stopped the leak.

Drivers side window leak.

If you are talking the tall slightly triangle window ahead of the power window. In your case the glass has come un glued to the frame at the bottom. If you are inside and push out on the glass you may see. Ours does the same thing in heavy rain causing water to end up in the track. If you find a fix I would be interested. Ours is a 1998 MADP.

Ours isn't a power window, I guess whoever ordered it back then didn't opt for that feature.

I have a 2000 DSDP. I noticed a small leak in the forward section of the window as it angles down and meets the base during hard rains or parked with front of coach downward. Problem on mine was there was no hole or slot to communicate with the outside drainage slot. After drilling a 3/16 hole in window channel where window slides, problem solved!

Got the same problem. Before our trip in august I used flex shot all around the window where the rubber meets the body. Didn't fix the leak. I pushed on the bottom of the window and water shot up inside the couch from where the glass fits inside the rubber track. Now that we're back home, i was going to try using that stuff again or some other clear silicone between the window and rubber after it dries out. If that doesn't work...ideas?
