drivers sliding window

The lock is sticking in the drivers window making it almost impossible to unlock. I think the pin may be bent or have a burr on it...just a good guess.
I have no idea how to lift the window out so I can see the lock mechanism.
Anybody know how the window comes out.....I don't want to convert an small problem into an emergency!!

Cant say specifically but most of these windows are made to fit in the frame, ie, there isnt any extra room to lift it out--like a residential window. For obvious reasons, you wouldnt want to hit a bump and have the window fly out. Usually the screen will come out and provide some room to tinker with the lock. In short, you would probably have to remove the entire frame and disassemble it--not a good option.

Have you tried to lube just the pivot of the lock to see if it will work easier.
Like said the whole interior frame with many screws would have to be removed to get window out.

oh well

Lubricated everything i could reach. However..with screen removed it is pretty easy to push window up and free the lock. Think i will live with this before i really break it. Thanks

I had the exact same problem. In fact the window over the sofa had become a real challenge too. We had taken our coach to Newmar for servicing of the MH and Chassis so I told them about the problem.

They told me that they discontinued use of that particular window lock and they replaced mine. I bought an extra lock from their parts counter. Works great now.

Unfortunately, I didn't repair mine so I can only say it's a recognized problem corrected by replacement. So, if you can remove the lock entirely after getting a new lock that would be preferred.

I noticed various window locks for sale in an area CW but don't know if they would exactly fit where the original is mounted. Good news is the new locks have a much better lever action.
