Hello All,

We are new to RV'ing and have ordered a Class A Motorhome. I have driven a friend's Class A, but only in a huge parking lot.

Before we get the call from the dealer to come and pick it up in a month or so, I would like to get a driving class under my belt.

We live in San Antonio, Texas. I have done a little searching for driving schools, but can't find one in our area.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Don

Please check to see what the GVWR is for your coach. I think Texas requires an addition to a regular driver's license for a person driving a coach over 26K lbs. Check with the DMV to understand what must be done. I can not help you with a driving school. Many other threads have asked the same question, without success. In South Florida, the only thing available is a school for those wanting a CDL.

a class b cdl school may help understand how to drive your coach better.
and it willl teach you the proper walk around snd other safety items most
car drivers do not understand. I am a retired truck driver with a class a
and my experience helps me every time I use my coach.

Check with your local bus company and see if they offer classes, or know who does.

Check on rvschool.com. They offer RV driving schools all across the USA. My wife just took a 2 day class here in WA. The instructors do a terrific job.

Don,

You might want to check out Rick Andrews. He does a great job.
