Drop Ball Mount Length for Bay Star

Good Morning,

We are considering an ACME tow dolly to tow behind our Bay Star. Roughly speaking what length is the ball mount that others are utilizing on their Bay Stars. Four wheel down towing is possible, but the base installation on our tow vehicle is quite complex and requires more modifications I want to make to the car. Since it's a push button to start vehicle, the steering wheel does not lock and the ACME dolly does not call for the wheel to be tied down. ACME calls for the ball to be 14 to 16 inches above the level ground. It looks like I would need 8 to 10 inches of drop. Finally newbie question, do you measure from the top of the ball to the ground to determine the distance?

Thanks in advance and safe travels!

You're correct. Top of ball to ground/concrete- you need to be on a level surface.
The tow dolly height is different from towing a trailer, trailer ball height is normally 18.5" so the trailer sits level when traveling.
