DS 4369 Fresh Water Auto Fill

Does anyone know to what level the fresh water tank has to drop for the Auto Fill feature to kick in?

Had a water meter on mine last time out with full hook ups. Saw it add as little as 2-4 gal at least a couple of times after it had been auto-filled. Don't know better than that.

When the fresh water drops to 1/3 and you have the handle on autofill and the autofill enabled in the control panel, it fills. Very rarely does mine fill to full, except when I was at the factory. Now it fills to 2/3. I guess that's so you can leave it and not worry about overflowing. So I don't use it that much since I want a full tank so I do it manually most of the time. Then when I drive off it goes to 2/3 anyway. I am going to use the suggestion of drilling a hole in the overflow pipe to stop siphoning.

Only comes on at 1/3 and fills for a set time then will error out if not full. If the level is a "low" 1/3 it will time out and need to be reset for the next time. If it is a "high" 1/3 then it will fill to full and stay in AUTO.

Syphoning issue:
I had the service guys at Tampa Show extend my overflow tubing to create a loop. The tank has a vacuum break that has to pull open on a vacuum and without the loop not enough vacuum is created. What I didn't understand is why there is a syphon when the overflow tube doesn't go into the tank! Whatever the reason the longer loop works.

My extended siphon tube was initially too high. Lowered it and this helps, but will also now extend the vacuum breaker higher (which leaks somewhat when tank is full). Also have a small hole (1/16" - highlighted in blue) which functions to break the siphon. Click image for larger version
