DS Kitchen Slide Will Not Retract
Well, looks like I got past the HWH issue for now, then something else (another challenge) happened. I moved the MADP out of the carport today to setup the KVH satellite syteme with my Direct TV H24 receiver. I was also adjusting the auto level up sensor. When I got ready to move back to the carport, the DS slide will not retract. It sort of clunks behind the panel and then does nothing. I can also hear a swiching noise under the rig near the slide mechanism. The other three slides are functioning properly. I reviewed the Quick Tips and could not find a scenario that matched mine. Any experience dealing with this.

I don't think so because I don't hear the motor running. Just a click in the two locations. I will have DW push the button tomorrow while I climb under to see what's going on, to make sure it's not just spinning.

Hey Scotty;
Watch this and see if it helps to retract the slide.
GoodLuck

That's an excellent video, I am going to bookmark it for future use. I am still holding out hope that it is just a blown fuse or something simple like a shear pin.

Have you got the coach plugged into 120 batteries maybe to low to bring in slide.
Kitchen slide has chains to move slide can find info in the new slide spec QT's 1 & 2.
Do you have AUTO slide locks and have they unlocked if not slide will not move.

My slides only lock in the retracted position. The batteries are good. I was only unplugged for a couple hours and now I am plugged back in. All three of the other slides worked fine.

I have no Idea how to check the kitchen slide and the chains used to pull it in if the motor is turning a torque nut maybe loose to the shaft to turn chains for retraction.
Page 27 to 44 shows the pan slide mechanize of kitchen slide.

UPDATE. 1st thing this AM, I looked to see if anything was turning. Nothing. Then per the video, thanks to MR JP, I switched the plugs between the two controllers next to each other, expecting only one to work. Both slideouts worked after switching controllers. I briefly thought about leaving it like that, but wasn't comfortable since the wiring was pretty taught on one of the plugs. I switched the plugs back to their original controller and, VOILA! Everything works.
Here's what I am wondering;
1) Was it a loose or corroded connection in one of the plugs?
2) Did it perform some type of re-set when the 12V was unplugged and plugged back?
3) Is the controller going bad?

Have you tried turning the adjustment for current up a little on the controller. Turn it clockwise the equivalent of about 1 hour on a 12 hour clock, no more. Sounds like you are right at margin...

I would vote for #1 dirty or loose connection. Glad to hear it is all working.

Contacts or pins of controllers will corrode or just get dirty from non use and temp changes plus can loosen if not tight and maybe locked to board from road vibrations, which also brings up a point the same can happen in your load center wiring, transfer switch, surge protector especially stranded wiring that may go flat from tight screw connection to begin with, but over time loosen up from vibrations.
Loose wiring can cause you more problems by high current flow through connections and the possibility of burning insulation off wiring or even causing a fire from the higher than normal current flow.
Glad you found your problem maybe some day we will have pictures on the workings of a kitchen slide.

Poor connections are what I chase first. I carry a spray can of electrical cleaner and a small tube of dielectric grease. 90% of the time, cleaning does the trick.
Humidity reaks havoc on electrical connections.
