Passenger seat a Flexsteel with arm and foot rest. How do you get it to turn around to face the rear of Coach???
Everyone can stop laughing!!!! I had it turned around last year but that is a long time ago for my memory. I have tried left, right, back up and back, arms up and down It always seems to be hitting somewhere and will not rotate!!
Any Suggestions
Thanks Rick

Does it have a small flat latch or lever at the lower front or side of the chair near the controls? We've had a couple different types but they have had a lever that you have to pull up - all the way - in order to rotate. Ours does not have a footrest, so your's may be quite different.

Don't worry Rick. RiverBend has classes for seat turning. It is a two day course with both practical amd written exams.

Rick's post indicates he can unlatch the seat, but it always hits someplace to block the turn.
I agree with the Dr. that some seat turning classes along with some "lubricant" will be required.

This is more art than science. Presuming yours is similar to mine, you have to tilt the seat forward first. Move it all the way back, turn it until the arm in the down position hits the side of the coach, then put arm up, move the seat all the way forward and complete the turn.
I leave the seat all the way forward to make more room for entry.
I may have the order steps wrong above but, it will work.

Woooo! Based on this input, the course has been extended to 10 weeks. Chair rotation is nothing to laugh about. This take serious training. Not that "Sit on it and rotate" thing, serious st..., no not st.., but st..., stuff.
If you have U.C.F.C.R. (UnCoorinated Front Chair Rotation) syndrome we can help.
Call 1 800 JUST-TURNIT.

Peter is obviously isn't taking this condition seriously. He is, what I would call, a swivelist. A swivelist is someone who is prejudice against us that have trouble swiveling a chair.
All I can say Peter is get help. We are people too.

Hey Scott, Non-swivellers are people too, aren't they? Okay, whatever, who cares. OOOOPS, are we on air????
Rick......In all seriousness, we can help. Life in S.W. Florida turns alot of people around, with or without their chair.

Hi Rick,
Scott has the procedure pretty much down pat.
1. Back of seat is tilted forward.
2. Seat is moved to the far forward position.
3. The flat latch is located on the lower right of the seat, just above the 8 way control buttons
4. Pull the latch and turn the seat counterclockwise past 90 degrees but not to 180 degrees.
5. During #5 one may need to work with the left arm rest to the up or down position (I forget which)
6. Move the back of the seat to an upright position.
7. Call Peter and have him provide a certificate of course completion. Along with the certificate comes the Dr's best mixology with which you can sit in the chair and enjoy conversing with others in your coach.
Ain't it great to have someone with the exact same coach you have!

Thank goodness this simplified process works.
It used to be really complicated.

My good brother Peter, you've said a mouthful and I'm proud to be "counted" as one who has been turned around.....
I now call south EAST Florida my home and can not believe the effect that living here has had on me.
