The Dutch Star is a well made coach. I don't know of any issues year to year. However, I would make sure that you are looking at one that has Comfort Drive. They started in '09 on the Dutch Star, if memory serves me well.
Good luck on your search.
Happy Trails!!!!!

Just as an FYI, my 2008 DS has Comfort Drive.
Have you downloaded the brochures from the Newmar website?

Welcome to the forum.
Here is the Brochures for 09 DA--- 09 DSDP and the 11 DSDP years and here are the Owners Guides--- 09---- 11.
2010 and 09 years were the same brochures.
All coach's would have the Comfort Drive.
Good luck in your quest.

In 09 it was called the Dutch Aire? not Star
the '11 link was owners manual not brochure, do you know where I get that?
Thanks

There was a 2009 Dutch Star and Dutch Aire. The Aire was a more upgraded model like the Mountain Aire. The Dutch Aire continued through 2010.

Be aware of ball joint rubber dust boots on Spartin chassis that fell apart causing premature wear. Be aware of Cummins exhaust manifold issues cracking or leaking.
Thease problems seem to be in the earlier end of your time line. Also 2001 Cummins 330 hp engines have oil pressure sending units and gauges that fail early, mine did and I now have a blown exhaust gasket to go along with it. Also had to have the ball joints replaced due to the dust boot failure the previous owner neglected. I replaced the oil psi gauge myself, luckly I found the only one left on the planet that was OEM. They have since been discontinued and an upgrade is now used, now reprograming is needed to read the new gauge. Other than that I think the Dutch Star is a well made craft.
My 2 cents.......... Mike
