I am having them do that prior to our factory pickup. 3 hrs of labor quoted. Brought the coach side stuff to them when I went to watch my build.

Many previous posts have said that the factory will not install the coach side on a Frightliner chassis. Don't know if that is still true but might be worth considering. If not done at the factory there are installers not to far away.
We did factory pickup last month and then drove to Newburgh where SMI is located to have them install the coach side of Air Force One. I had the equipment, they installed the coach side for $100 and it did take them 2 hours.

Will installation of Air Force One affect the chassis warranty since it splices into the air system?

On a Spartan chassis using the AF1 system or the actual Spartan ping tank setup unless the install would contribute to other failures then it doesn't affect the warranty. Probably the same for Freightliner.

Aftermarket accessories in general and warranty impact are covered under the Magnus-Moss Warranty Act.

+1 on the folks at SMI, a small operation but well qualified. I had done the car side several years ago myself. Due to a recent shoulder surgery, I had to have somebody else do the install on the new coach, SMI delivered.

I have had AF1 on all 3 of my coaches, all on Freightliner chassis, no warranty issues. If there is a air problem, Freightliner will charge for labor to isolate the problem from their equipment and other aftermarket equipment.

Does any other manufacturer let a buyer do this? Says a lot for the intention for quality. Thanks for sharing!
