Dutch Star Basement Storage Height

Does anyone know the distance from the basement floor to the bottom of the frame rail on the 2017 Dutch Star (4054 if the floorplan matters) and is there any difference between the Freightliner and Spartan builds?

99% sure there will be a difference between the two chassis manufacturers; exactly how much ; sorry I can't comment. I've seen a Spartan chassis version of my vintage of coach and the difference was visible .
Have you tried asking your question directly to Newmar?

I'm interested also, although we are looking at a 2005 and 2007 DS 40' and 43'.

Also, what are the attributes of the Spartan vs the Freightliner? I have owned Freightliner trucks as part of our business and have a very good opinion of them as they have routinely gone over 500,000 miles without issues. Have read on this forum about the issues with the Spartan boots on the front end. Have also read that the side radiator is preferred over the rear radiator which I can understand.

Thanks.

Helipilot; In the older coaches , Spartan was first to introduce IFS ( Independent Front Suspension ) and as such the ball joint boot issues.
Spartan for many years had a higher trailer tow rating , and I think was always Cummins power , where Freightliner could have the Cat ( while still available) or Cummins.
In the older units Spartan was an extra cost option.

I called them last week asking where I could see a 4054 in person and if there would be one at the Hersey show. The answer was to call around local dealers and ask.

For the Hershey show they at least gave me the name of the dealer and I called the dealer and verified that the 4054 would NOT be at the Hershey show.

I'm positive there is someone who can give me an answer, but I suspect I'll need to ask for that person specifically and asking the question by just calling the main line will just get me referred to my local dealer.

Skip426, thanks for that information.

Ekim, There are no Newmar dealers around here in Little Rock, Arkansas or I would call and ask for you. I would think the factory engineering would have the drawings and know the height numbers.
