Dutch Star Being Towed

I just saw a Dutch star being towed on US395 South of Spokane headed towards Tri cities. Wondering if the owner is a member on these forums.
It wasn't on a flatbed trailer but rather being towed just from the front, didn't know that was safe.

It's safe as long as the tow truck operator knows what he's doing - aka disconnect the drive shaft, attach air supply, etc.

We had our 2016 DSDP towed the very first time we took it on a trip due to a steering pump failure. The tow truck driver was a great guy who didn't even leave a scratch on our (then) new coach.

We were towed almost 80 miles in this manner when a CAC hose clamp broke in the middle of nowhere. Some of these tow drivers are extremely knowledgeable on how to tow these beasts. Front wheels up on a dolly, driveline removed, airline hooked up in less than an hour....course it took several hours for the correct type of tow truck to arrive. Credit Freightliner for getting the truck there at all and paying the $2k+ tow fees.

Our 2017 DSDP 4369 was towed 200 miles from Goodland KS to Brighton CO by a tri-axle tow truck that lifted the front wheels. Tow truck driver disconnected the driveline and connected air. No problems and Freightliner picked up the bill under warranty (only $4500).

Remember to not let tow truck driver say it's OK to tow, if engine is running, to not disconnect the drive line if they have the engine idle.
