Dutch Star dash a/c controls

We have a 2006 Dutch Star that the dash a/c controls will not switch from defog to the vent outlets facing the driver and passenger. I assume there is a control module, either vacuum or electrical in the dash, but where do I start looking?

Our Evans Tempcon system has a little electric vacume pump located in the front genny compartment just to the lower left of the ac coils housing. It has wires and small black vacume hose going to it. You could check its operation with a VOM or apply 12v. At the bottom of the ac coils housing there is a vacume switch with a small black hose going to it as well. I'm not sure if this is what diverts the air but makes sense. We just changed the Evans Tempcon temperature pot (rotary control with blue.red background) only to find out that the control is not proportional but rather acts as a on/off switch to shut off the flow of coolant to the heater coil when you want cold AC air per Mfgr and is normal to take 3-4 minutes to cool down the heater coil. It's because the heater and AC coils are in the same box. Works different than in a car where a proportional flapper to blend air is used to change the cabin temp. All works just a $59 lesson and easy to change to confirm the $150 coolant valve (known problems) is working correctly. Good luck.
